Valuing Diversity as a
Strategy for Good Business

Part of the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA), OIPC is coordinating a whole-of-government approach to programs and services for Indigenous Australians. It has a central role in the Government's new arrangements in Indigenous Affairs.
OIPC was established on 1 July 2004. On the same day, programs formerly administered by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Services (ATSIS) were transferred to the Australian Government agencies that provide services to the wider community.
